Toilet paper
Published late at night on Wednesday, October 19th, 2005Aware of the risk being claimed insane, I’m taking the debate whether a toilet roll should be aligned with the wall or hanging of the wall. I’ve heard it might be and old debate, but I’d never experienced one, so here we go

Maybe I’m wired, but every time I go to the toilet and the toilet paper Is aligned with the wall I’m annoyed! – It just complicates the whole process! It’s like a thousand times harder actually getting a pieces of paper, am I right? Why not place the damn role with the paper hanging of the wall? I’m not a freak, just having some weird thoughts now and then
– To save my self from total humiliation, I would like to emphasize that mentioning the suspect to others actually resulted in quite good feedback. Some of the arguments is listed below.Hanging of the wall
- Easier to grab
- In commercials and on hotels the roll is placed, hanging of the wall
- Just fells right
Aligned with the wall
- Friction between the wall and the roll prevent the roll from spinning like a thousand times and leaves the bathroom filled with paper! (Side note: the friction must be about the same even if the roll hangs of the wall, right?!)
Feel free to contribute with your personal opinion.

And I completely agree with you, that the toilet paper should be facing the room, not the wall - I actually have another argument in this case:
I have often seen films/tv series where someone (ex. mother-in-law) comes to see an apartment. When they see the toilet, they notice that the toilet paper is hanging against the wall and silently think "he can't even hang the toilet paper right".
So there's no discussion, hanging the toilet paper off the wall is just right
DO IT
